HELP!!!!
I need some help!! I am having one heck of a time getting Landon potty trained!! He has gone a couple of times, but I KNOW he knows when he needs to go! He always hides when he needs to go. I'm just trying to convince him to hide himself in the bathroom on the toilet to go! Does anyone have any secrets? I need to not spend $80 a month on diapers anymore!!!

There is a book that helped me out but it is still hard. See if your library has "Mommy, I have to go Potty". It is worth the read.
They do it when they're ready. I've learned that again today, actually. Tait potty trained easily about three months before he turned three. I thought the same thing would be true for Blake-- not so. We tried and tried with him. I finally gave up for a while and one day about 3 or 4 months after he turned three, we tried again and it just "clicked" with him.
A few months ago I started potty training with Miles. We didn't have a single ounce of success. Since he would hide when he needed to poop, I figured he was big enough to be potty trained. We tried for about a week and it was awful... it wasn't working at all. I gave up.
Until today.
Today he asked me if he could wear underwear. He's been wearing it all day without a single accident. He even tells me when he needs to go potty. I'm actually in disbelief!! So I truly belive what "they" say-- They do it when they're ready.
Don't stress.
Just before Aiden turned 3 I realized that he knew how to do it if he felt like it. He just knew it was easier to keep playing and go in a diaper. Around the same time he developed a love for playing the Lego Star Wars video game so I just held it hostage. I told him only big kids were allowed to play video games. Every kid is different but I think motivation is big. My sister Anne's little girl Millie wanted to go to kid fitness at the Legacy center and you have to be potty trained to go. That was her motivation.
Traci, if I knew I would not be spending $80 a month on diapers too! Stubborn Lazy BOYS! Good luck, if you figure it out lemme know.
