We LOVE to read Junie B. Jones books. Before my kids were old enough to sit through this book I still read them, often times even out loud to Robert. She is such a cute character. Robert and I laugh out loud regularly at some of the things that happen in these books. For example . . .(talking about her "fussy baby brother Ollie")
Ollie started to cry.
Grandpa Miller looked weary of that boy.
I took Ollie away from him.
"Don't worry, Grandpa. i know how to calm this baby down." I said.
After that, I patted Ollie's back very nice.
Then I hummed real soft in his ear.
And I put him in the hall closet.
Grandpa quick got him out of there.
He put Ollie in his playpen. And he gave him animal crackers.
Animal crackers are crackers that make babies stop crying.
Also, I enjoy an occasional cracker.
It's just silly and fun. It's so much the way some kids think. Just so scattered and innocent. Paige has really grown to love them. After I finish a couple of chapters at bed time she always asks for more. Try them out, I think you'll love them.
Other fun things . . .
- Paige had a birthday!! At her party we painted nails, made necklaces, decorated magic mirrors, had a tea party, and broke a barbie pinata! It was so much fun!
- Went to our very first parent teachers conference. After we left I began to wonder if we were obnoxiously anxious to hear about our daughter and her school experience.
- We went to McDonalds for dinner on Paige's birthday and the glazed over look on all the parents faces in the play area reassured me that I'm not the only one.
- I've been taking Landon and Jefferson to Moms and Tots Music and Movement twice a week in the mornings. It took Landon a minute to get into it but he really likes it now. He'll sing the songs and do rythm and actions but he not into dancing around. He's such a funny boy! Jeffereson LOVES it!
