It has been so nice outside! To take advantage of these nice days we walk over to the park in our condo development. The kids really like it over there. I enjoy the time out too, the kids whine a lot less to me while we are there. :-)
While I was there I was shocked to find 4-5 beer cans by the slide. I really don't care if someone chooses to drink, but do we have to do it at the childrens play area?
The other thing is that there are a group of kids that are always over there, they are all good kids as far as I know. But they like to play a little then run to each others houses then back. Well I don't feel comfortable with Paige running around to everyone's house. I told her that if she stays at the park after I take Landon home that she has to stay at the park, and if everyone else leaves then she needs to come home. I got thinking about this and wondered if I am being way too protective. One of my big fears is that I would be too protective and then have it back lash on me in the future. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this?
P.S. We kind of like Sid the Science Kid (pictured). It's fun. But why does every cartoon need a kid with an obnoxious voice?

AMEN!! My boys and I watch it every morning before we get ready for the day--but that Gerald about sends me up the wall!
That is so sad about the beer cans! It makes me mad! I used to find cigarette packages over there. Grrr! I don't know about being over protective, but my mom came over last night. She noticed some "rough" boys at the playground and told me never to let Akira go play there by herself when she grows up! I told her I hope we don't live here that long! ;)
That being said, I do count my mom as being overprotective!
Not that red heads don't know spanish, but her name is Gabriella.... oh I watch High School Musical! : )
You're not being too protective. Go with your gut feeling. If you feel weird about it, don't do it.
Sid the Science Kid is a favorite with Blake. It's a cute show. He picks up on a lot of stuff, but I agree about the kids' voices... I think Sid's class is the "Special Needs" class!
The world is changing. You are not being over protectant.
